Professor Tommy Montoya is a Clark Gracie Jiu Jitsu 2nd degree black belt with  30+  years of Martial Arts experience. Tommy Montoya is from Dallas, TX and studied Criminal Justice at Kentucky State University and he is an entrepreneur working to create the gym in his vision and is a mentor to many in this field. He is also NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) certified and is passionate about improving people’s quality of life with good nutrition, learning functional movements and imparting the philosophy and foundation of Jiu Jitsu as taught by Carlos Gracie. He has trained with Master Gracie’s throughout U.S and Brazil and received his black belt in December 2016. Tommy has acquired a world title and many national titles and championships and have guided many others to their own championship victories. Currently Tommy resides in Corpus Christi, TX where he owns his academy and is a Clark Gracie representative with the Gracie Allegiance Team U.S.A.

-Army veteran with 12 years of service
Coach Singer has been a teacher in the Corpus Christi for over ten years. He has taught all core
subjects and was also a K-5 Physical Education teacher for 2 years. He has vast experience working with
a wide variety of students from Pre-K to 5th
grade including working with students with special needs.
As someone that has trained a variety of martial arts and competed in the cage as an MMA fighter,
Coach Singer believes in the importance of Jiu-Jitsu above all others. He knows the importance of
discipline, fittness, confidence, self-control, and self-defense; and he believes Jiu-Jitsu to be a great way
for children to learn these skills.
Coach Singer wants his students to have fun and enjoy the life-long rewards that Jiu-Jitsu provides.
 
 
 

Clark Gracie

In 2010 Clark Gracie was awarded his black belt under his father Grand Master Carley Gracie. Now he finds himself on top of podiums at worldwide events against some of the best competitors in the world. .
Being the grandson of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu founder Carlos Gracie, Clark has had a large legacy to live up to. He does it with grace, fluidity and apparent ease. Over the course of his career he has used the skills taught to him by his family to develop a style all his own. This same style is setting the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world on fire. Under the tutelage of his father Carley Gracie, and his coach Rodrigo Medeiros, Clark has become the most active competing member of the Gracie family.

The majority of the year you will find Clark teaching at his San Diego academies, but also enjoys to travel abroad, mostly for tournaments and seminars, but also to taste the flavors of jiu-jitsu worldwide. With quite a nomadic childhood, this should not surprise anyone. His love of travel stems from growing up between San Francisco and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As much as Clark enjoys the sights abroad he is always happy to return to his Southern California home in San Diego, California. It is here that Clark teaches and practices the family values passed down to him from preceding generations.
